A Farmer's Wife
BIRTH: 12 January 1858 Mary was born at Tister, Clyth in the Parish of Latheron, Caithness Scotland. Her father, Andrew, was a fisherman at the time.
MARRIAGE: 12 December 1879 Mary was employed as an agricultural servant at Forse, Thurso, when she married Robert Sutherland. She was 21 years of age. The wedding took place at the Church of Scotland, Thurso.
DEATH: 31 August 1943 Mary died, aged 79, at 25 Arabella, Nigg Station, Ross & Cromarty, as a result of senile heart failure. She died two years before her husband.
