BIRTH: 12 November 1893 William Sutherland was the ninth child from the marraige of Robert and Mary Sutherland (nee MacKenzie). Born at Aimster, Parish of Thurso, Caithness where his father was employed as a farm servant.
MARRIAGE: TBC ... To be compiled There is no record of him marrying, though this is unconfirmed.
DEATH: 24 September 1914 William died, aged 20, at the Battle of Aisne barely after the first trenches were dug. Lance Corporal 662 Sutherland Wm. 2nd Battalion Seaforth Highlanders is buried at Crouy-Vauxrot French National Cemetery, Aisne, France.
