BIRTH: 18 January 1892 Mary Sutherland was the eighth child from the marriage of Robert and Mary Sutherland (nee MacKenzie), the sixth to survive infancy. The family are back at Aimster,near Thurso, where she was born, her father being employed as a farm servant again during these winter months.
MARRIAGE: 28 March 1913 Mary married John Grigor at Flood, Bonar in Sutherland according to the forms of the Church of Scotland. At the time she was a 21 year old domestic servant at Flood. Her new husband was a thirty year old salmon fisher, from Duffus, Elgin. The witnesses at their wedding were Barbara, her sister, and a John Crawford.
DEATH: 26 October 1953 Mary died in the Royal Infirmary, Glasgow. At the time of her death, she was living at 14 Annfield Street in the city.
